Cholula is a small city in the state of Puebla, in Mexico. Cholula, a magic place located 2,135 meters (about 7,000 ft) above sea level, is home to a great pyramid hidden inside a hill, with underground tunnels. The tunnels can be visited, as well as the church that was built by Spaniards on the top.
Cholula, in Nahuatl Cholōllān, which means "Place of those who fled" is also famous by its churches. Every year there is a bell concert that attracts hundreds of people who sit at the cafés in the main square.
Possibly no other country in the world has as many festivals, fairs and celebrations as Mexico, and Cholula keeps them all. Food is an important part of these celebrations; among the typical dishes are cemitas, a bun filled with meat and cheese, or quesadillas, a tortilla filled with cheese, mushrooms, chilli, etc.
In Cholula there is music and folk dancing throughout the year. Cholula is a place to remember.
